Brews

On this page I am going to put up several different brews or potions. The ones that I am putting up now are from Scott Cunningham out of the book Incense, Oils and Brews. This is an excellent book by Cunningham a definate must read!!!

Ok on with the brews!!!

Items needed: Spring water, distilled water or rain water. Use tap water only as the last resort!!

Heating your brews: Fire, gas flame, or electric stove.

Vessels: Avoid using metal pots if you can. Yes I know it's always been thought to use your cauldron or iron pot but NOT for making brews. You can buy glass corning wear pots seperately, if you wish to do this, buy a small one, they are cheaper!!!

Cheesecloth: You use this for straining the potions.

Glass containers: You need these to put your potions in. If you have a dollar store near you go  there, they always have small glass jars and bottles which is excellent for the brews!!

For brews that are to be drunk, you will need to use a different morter and pestle than the one you normally use for your herbs, this is only for your safety as some herbs are poisoness!!
 
 

Place ingredients into a teapot, fill with boiling water, let steep for a few minutes. Remove cover and sniff the steam for a few moments. (Be careful NOT to get burned!) Visualize the mystic scent opening your psychic awareness. You may also drink some of this brew as well. Then lie down and relax and see what comes to you.
 
 

Mix and add 1 teaspoon to a cup add boiling water over the herbs and steep for 9 minutes. Drink a few teaspoons a day or add to your bath.
*Caution!!!! Cayenne is a powerful and potent herb use with care and respect!!
 
 

Half-fill a green glass jar with fresh water. Add about a handful or so of the mixed and empowered herbs. Cap tightly and leave in full sunlight all day. At dust sniff the water. If the scent is strong, strain and add to bath, wash hands, anoint money or charms ect. If it isn't strong smelling yet, chill overnight and return to the sun the next day.
 
 

Brew as usual, strain and anoint each window and door of the house. Pour the rest down the drains to protect them.
 
 

Set a glass or crystal container of pure water outside just at dawn, in a place where the rays of the sun will hit it all day long. At sunset cap the water tightly.  Keep it in a sunny place. Add to baths for energy, sprinkle around your home to get rid of negative energy and evil, anoint yourself for purification.
